Chisholm TV & Stereo through the years...

Chisholm TV was founded in 1964 by Sonny and Betty Chisholm.  They started the business out of their home on Hamilton Street in Goderich Ontario.

In 1982, Pete and Lorraine Lane took over the store from Sonny and Betty and moved the location to 29 Kingston street just off the square in Goderich.  This building was the original Opera House in town.  The store remained at that location until 2011...

In August of 2011 an F3 tornado came through the town of Goderich devastating the town and as a result the building was destroyed beyond repair.  Pete and Lorraine continued to run the business out of their home until they could find a new location that would suit the needs of their business.  In November of 2011 Chisholm TV re-opened at 144 Courthouse Square in Goderich, a modern and clean showroom to showcase the best in consumer electronics.  

In May of 2016 Pete Lane Sr. passed quite suddenly and unexpectedly and as of September 2016 Pete Lane Jr. has returned to run the business.  Pete Lane Jr. was on the wholesale side of the consumer electronics industry for the past 11 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience back to the Goderich area.  We look forward to serving the local market for many years to come.
