This is a nice step up from the standard Pro-Ject E1. For an extra $100 you’re getting an upgraded die cast aluminum platter and Pick It MM cartridge as well as an upgraded sub platter which brings this closer to a Debut Carbon. This model also has electronic speed control, change speeds by simply flipping a switch. Well worth the upcharge from the standard model if you’re looking to get serious about vinyl replay.

There is nothing under the $500 mark that is as well built and reliable as the E1.2. Made in Europe, you are buying a turntable that will serve you well for years to come.
